After a ten-year hiatus, Phil has returned to the board. Along with Carol Black and Gretchen Gill, Phil is one of the founders of RESCU which was created to address the medical needs of the renaissance faire community. When Phil’s daughter Sophie became ill with leukemia, a large fundraiser was held to help his family. The success of that event led to the idea that any of us could find ourselves in need and that there should be a way for us to all help each other. RESCU was born. Phil has held each of the executive titles at one time or another and is honored to again serve on the board.

He has worked in the renaissance faire industry at many festivals for over four decades, always as an entertainer, with 34 of those years performing his show MooNiE the Magnif’Cent. Concurrently alongside his years as MooNiE he has been a card-carrying member of Actors Equity and SAG/AFTRA for 30 years working as a professional actor on stage and screen. He is happiest when at home with his family, wife Genna, sons Cooper and Quincy, and daughter Sadie, but appreciates his time with his renaissance family when on the road.
