Mary Parrish holds a Bachelor of Christian Studies and Biology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX and a Master of Public Health from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She is a self-proclaimed public health nerd with a passion for bettering the community through health education. 

After being an avid patron of the Texas Renaissance Festival, Sherwood Forest Faire, and Scarborough Renaissance Festival for 5 years, Mary transitioned to participant in 2018 at Sherwood, where she first heard of RESCU and the work they do for the reenactment community. She joined the RESCU Board in 2020 after a year of being a part of the Programs Committee. As HIPAA Compliance Officer she helps educate our volunteers, thereby keeping our clients’ privacy sacrosanct. She also serves on the Compliance Committee.  

When not at faire, Mary enjoys traveling with husband (Herman), flooding her social media profiles with cute pictures of her dog (Winnie), and drinking copious amounts of tea (usually green or oolong).
