Founded
First Board of Directors meets: Carol Black, Phil Johnson, Gretchen Gill. Official 501(c)(3) letter October 28

First RESCU Rally
Creation of official RESCU logo by John Goodrich.
First RESCU Rally Fundraiser is held in Florida.

Birth of Advocacy Program
Under the leadership of Peggy Kramer, RESCU begins Advocacy Program to help clients negotiate healthcare costs.

Our Mission Defined
RESCU Mission Statement is solidified.
First Medical Aid Request form defines Aid Process.

Financial Milestone: $100K in Public Support
Public support tops $100K for the first time.
Second Compilation CD is released--Encore for a Queen.
In December, the first RESCU website is launched, taking RESCU into the modern age.

Computer Age
RESCU officially moves from all paper to the digital age with the creation of our own secure server.
Fundraising Training Manual is developed to better control events and the money they generate.
Chorus for A Queen CD is donated as an FBO from the West Coast.
First Printing of Business Cards
RESCU Business Cards and a brochure are printed for the first time, enabling us to expand our reach and really get the word out.

Growth Spurt
A year of huge growth:
RESCU Board of Directors hires first staff, Advocacy Program Manager, then Bookkeeper, then Executive Director.
Michigan is the site of the first RESCU booth at a faire, and RESCU wins a $20K gift from Chase through a Facebook Click event.

Pandemic Year
Worldwide Pandemic brings our way of life to a screeching halt as faires close and programs and fundraising events must be cancelled. RESCU pivots to adapt, expanding social media presence and moving all fundraising online. Square Store for donations and merchandise is created and RESCU T-shirts are available. First Digital RESCU Rally is held on Facebook in August.
